| Manicure A professional manicure takes from 30 - 45 minutes to complete and usually includes the following: |

Your nail technician will put an exfoliating lotion or cream on your cuticles. Using a sanitized cuticle pusher, your nail tech will gently free each cuticle from the nail beneath it. Brushing the cuticles with a nail brush at this point removes much of the old skin in the cuticle area. Then your nail tech will look closely at each finger, using sanitized cuticle nippers to remove any hangnails. Removing the entire cuticle by cutting it off is an old practice which educated nail professionals avoid.
Filing Nails
Your nail technician will file your nails with a sanitized file, shaping them as you like them. Tell your nail technician exactly how you prefer to have your nails shaped.
Buffing Nails
Your nail technician will apply one drop of cuticle oil to each of your nails, and gently rub it into each finger. Using the roughest side of a four-way buffer, she will lightly file the edges of your nails to remove any remaining bits of filed nail material. Then she will use the other sides of the buffer to remove minor ridges and give the nails a healthy shine.
Massage
This is everyone's favorite part! Using lotion or oil, your nail tech will massage your arms from the elbow to the wrist, and then the hands and fingers. Relax and enjoy.
